A USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, and recipient of the Bronze and Silver Freestyle Bars, Athene enjoys providing dressage instruction.  Having worked her way up the levels from Training level to Prix St Georges, Athene understands what is needed at every stage. She carefully tailors her lessons to suit the individual requirements and goals of each student, with the welfare and best interests of the horse always of prime importance.

Athene is also well qualified to teach jumpers and hunter/jumpers.

She trained in South Africa where she was fortunate enough to have Mickey Louw, the South African stadium jumping champion, as her trainer for a number of years. Athene was a USEF "r" Jumper and Hunter/Eq. Judge. While her specialty is stadium jumping, she also teaches hunter/jumpers, equitation riders, eventers, and those who just want to jump for fun! She is also happy to teach students who don’t want to jump at all!
